Today was a typical Summer Sunday. We had breakfast (just eggs – I’m not much of a cook), then my husband and I went to church. We went to Woodland Hills Baptist Church which is not far from us. Even though I have tried to avoid Baptist churches my adult life, it was a very good sermon. The music minister spoke a little about the Apostle’s Creed. Since we haven’t been going to the Methodist church, the Apostle’s Creed is something I miss. I think it’s important that Christians have something in their services that ties them to other services, whether its the Apostle’s Creed, the Lord’s Prayer or something. I personally never knew the Lord’s Prayer until I became a Methodist. I never learned it in my Baptist church.
Afterward the service, we ate at Carlitos (which was average, at best), got some milk from Braums, then came home. After I do a little reading and a little writing, I am going to clean the deck and the pool.
